If you’re a parent, you’ll know that no matter how frugal you are, babies are hideously expensive. Because we love them so much and want the best for them, we think nothing of spending hundreds or even thousands of pounds on the latest clothing and equipment just so they can look good! This is all well and good if money is no object for you, but for the vast majority of parents, it can put a tight squeeze on their finances. Because of this, many people turn to the internet to save money on baby gizmos and gadgetry. But where to look for the bargains or better still, freebies?
At Freestuff.me we believe that any little freebies you can lay your hands on add up, especially where free baby stuff is concerned. If you can save money on the basics, then you’ll have more to spend on luxury items for your tot. The best places to start looking are the websites of companies that manufacture baby food, nappies and equipment. Most have some sort of ‘Baby Club’ you can join. Here are the links to some of the popular baby clubs we’ve come across:
Heinz Baby Club
Pampers Villiage
MAM Baby Club
Bebivita Mailing List
Aptamil Baby Club
Philips Avent Parenting Club
Although not an exhaustive list, this will give you an idea of the famous brand names that run their own baby/parenting clubs. Use a search engine to look up your favourite brands and see what they have to offer. Members of these baby clubs typically receive not only free samples, but money-off coupons and great deals on baby paraphernalia on a fairly regular basis, so it’s well worth signing up. If you’re worried about handing over your e-mail address to these companies in case you get spammed to within an inch of your life, don’t worry. They will only send you relevant information, not tons of advertising. If you decide you don’t want to hear from them any more, you can always opt out of e-mails. If you’re still not sure, just set up an alternative e-mail account with Google Mail or similar and use that address for the purpose of signing up to baby clubs, then you can be 100% that your main e-mail address will remain free of unwanted e-mails.
Freestuff.me also publishes details of any baby freebies we find in addition to baby club benefits. Baby product manufacturers often run competitions and giveaways on their Facebook pages and we keep an eye out for those and collate them here in our ‘Free Baby Stuff’ section of the site. Why not join us on our Facebook page, where we publish news of all freebies, not just baby-related, as it occurs? You can also find details of some fantastic competitions with baby and child related prizes in our own ‘Competitions’ section.
Finally, we realise that the freebies, coupons and competitions we hear about aren’t going to make you rich, but they can help in small ways to make your budget stretch a little further and hopefully this will mean more nice things for your little one.
